    Women in Horticulture – Women Sweep Horticulture Awards

    Three young wāhine took out the top positions in last year’s Young Horticulturist of the Year competition. Team Leader from Bark Ltd and Women in Horticulture member Renee Johnson, was a successful contender and won Best in Sector, second place in the Countdown Innovation Project and placed second overall! We had a chat to Renee about the competition and working in horticulture.

    Fruit and Vegetable Prices Drop 3.9 percent over Last Month - Vegetable volumes on the increase

    Produce prices have fallen 3.9 percent in the latest Food Price Index (FPI) data released today. The FPI, which tracks changes in the cost of food from month to month, decreased by 0.4 from August 2023 to September 2023, with the decreasing price of fruit and vegetables contributing the most to the overall monthly fall.
