United Fresh Food Safety Update, September 2019
Welcome to the first edition of our Technical Advisory Group's Food Safety Updates. This update covers the release of MPI's Draft Food Safety Strategy.
New Zealand Food Safety has released a draft strategy consultation document.
Paula Dudley, General Manager and Anne-Marie Arts, Food Safety Representative from United Fresh attended a presentation on the strategy in August.
This high level document outlines the four main strategic priorities for the agency:
Consultation workshops are being held around the country.
United Fresh supports the strategic approach which addresses the main issues we face as a food producing and exporting nation.
It covers a balance between its international commitments and obligations as well as protecting consumers
